Materials may be borrowed for a period of two weeks.
Students may borrow up to 4 items.
Renewals: If materials are needed for more time, they can be borrowed for two additional weeks, provided no other requests for those items are received.
Reference Materials: Reference and other selected materials may be borrowed for overnight use at the end of the school day. They are to be returned before classes start the next day.
FINES: Payments will be collected for overdue, lost and/or mutilated books. Only cash payment is accepted at this time. This is a Board of Education Policy.
For Items taken out for two weeks at a time- $.10 per day
For Items taken out overnight- $1.00 per day
Lost/Damaged materials – value of the item plus any overdue fines.
Books become lost after not returning them for 90 days.
Lost/broken Study Hall or Lunch pass - $5.00
If a student has overdue books and/or an outstanding fine of $5.00 or more, he/she may not take out any books until his/her account is cleared.
The district is in the process of allowing parents to pay library fines & lost textbook fines via the Lunch Payment ( Meal Pay Plus) software ( http://www.mypaymentsplus.com ) . Details should be finalized in the Fall of 2013 . As this is a third-party payment site, there is a processing fee involved. However, this site will allow payments via credit or debit card or electronic bank transfer. There is no fee to create an account at MyPaymentsPlus.com. You WILL need your student's ID number.
